Lakeside fountain will bring generations together, boosters say

A group of Lake City women are working to bring an interactive water feature to the city’s lakefront.

After a previous effort begun in 2016 to bring a splash pad to Lake City fizzled, Megan Kramer said she came back from the Blandin Community Leadership Program interested in giving it another try.

She reached out to Jen Cobb, a leader of the earlier effort, and a new group began to take shape.

The 2016 effort was to establish a stand-alone splash pad somewhere in town. This time they decided to take a different strategy.
