Letter: Choose three lanes for Highway 61

To the editor:

Much has been written about the pros and cons of the three vs. four lane options for the improvements to Highway 61.

As an architect and engineer by background it is clear to me that pedestrian and vehicle safety, traffic calming, and the long term financial interests of our community are all better served by the three lane proposal.

What has not been discussed, is the impact that this decision will have on the long term community interests that will be a by-product of this decision.
