At the beginning of this year, the Carnegie Corporation of New York sent out a $10,000 donation in the form of a check to every single one of its over 1,350 surviving Carnegie libraries across America in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. This included our Lake City Public Library (LCPL), whose staff are greatly appreciative of the gift and excited to use it to further benefit our community.
