Lifesaving award presented to man who came to aid of injured motorcyclist

Andrew Knudson walked into the training room at the Lake City Public Safety Building Dec. 13 with the assistance of a cane.
That Knudson, a Rochester man in his early 30s, was walking at all sounded like a positive development. Considering descriptions of injuries he suffered just over three months earlier, he was lucky to be walking, lucky to have his right leg, maybe even lucky to be alive.
