Choking is the fourth leading cause of unintentional injury death in the United States. Each year over 5,000 Americans die related to choking incidents, and innumerable, unreported choking incidents occur.
Becky Nelson of Kellogg recently donated a LifeVac for each home operated by Great River Homes in Wabasha and Lake City. LifeVac is an innovative, non-powered, non-invasive, airway clearance device developed for resuscitating a victim who is choking.
