On Friday, April 1, Carl Rol will be at St. Cloud State University competing as the first Lincoln High School student in years to qualify for the state geography bee.
Middle school social studies teacher Brianne Lisson has overseen the Lincoln High School competition the last two years. She said she’s unsure exactly how long it’s been since a student has qualified. The last time the Graphic covered a state qualifier was when Tanner Tufto qualified in 2009. At the time the newspaper reported that he was the first to do so in 20 years.
