Local foundation launches agriculture scholarship, seeks donors

The Greater Lake City Community Foundation has created a new scholarship, which will be awarded annually to a graduating Lincoln High School student who plans to pursue studies in an agricultural-related field.

“America is blessed with abundant food because of those who sustain the land and grow food to feed the masses,” said Jim Schreck, the foundation’s chairman. “This new scholarship will help an aspiring agricultural worker acquire the education and training required to succeed in an agricultural business.”
