Local thrift shop supports global hunger fight

The Pass It On Thrift Shop in Lake City recently donated $1,000 to the Hiawatha Valley MobilePack event sponsored by the Twin Cities’ based organization Feed My Starving Children. The Rev. David S. Badgley, pastor of the First Congregational Church UCC in Lake City, presented the check to Cate Sprout who is organizing the two-day meal-packing event to be held in Plainview this month.
