Married 79 years, Rabes get statewide recognition
Margaret and Clifford Rabe were greeted by a clamor of banging pots and pans, hammers on saw blades, noise makers of all kinds, along with cheers and clapping as they emerged from their Lake City home on Monday, Oct. 26.
Pastor Dan Reich of Trinity Lutheran Church and scores of family, church members, and children from St. John’s Lutheran School were on hand to see Reich present the Rabes with a plaque recognizing them as the Minnesota Representative for the 2020 Worldwide Marriage Encounter Longest Married Couple Project.
