Mayo Lake City is 'Stroke Ready'

Mayo Clinic Health System in Lake City is one of several of the system’s hospitals to acheive “Stroke Ready” status.

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) designated Mayo Clinic Health System’s hospitals in Austin, Albert Lea, Cannon Falls, Lake City and Red Wing as Acute Stroke Ready Hospitals, recognizing their ability to offer the best care possible to patients who experience a stroke. The hospital’s Emergency Departments (ED) are equipped to evaluate, stabilize and provide emergency care to patients with acute stroke symptoms.
