Thanks to an organ donation, John Gruber was able to walk his oldest daughter down the aisle and, six weeks ago, to become a grandfather, he said.

Gruber, a member of the Mayo Clinic Health System in Lake City Community Board, was among the Mayo Clinic Health System officials and guests who gathered around the flag pole at the system’s Lake City care center Monday to raise a flag in honor of Donate Life month in April and to talk about the importance of organ and tissue donation.
