Memorial trees planted at Hok-Si-La Arbor Day ceremony

A group of local citizens and Shamla family members gathered May 21 at Hok-Si-La Park in Lake City to plant four trees in Rebecca Shamla’s memory and one tree to recognize retiring Park Manager Joanne Klees for her 20 years of service to the park.

City Councilmember Faye Brown read the mayor’s declaration in support of trees for Lake City.
