Millville Legion honors 50-year members
The Millville American Legion post recently honored three of its members for 50 years of membership in the Legion.
Gayle Leonhardt served in the U.S. Army from 1964-1967.
Augie Schleicher joined the reserve unit in Wabasha before being called up to active duty.
Reuben Lambrecht of Bovey, Minn., was the other 50-year member honored this year.
“It’s one thing to put the time in in the service,” Millville Legion Commander Gary Balcome said. “It’s another to to give your time back to the veterans for 50 years.
