New water trail near Nelson opens Sunday

The Winona District of the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge invites the public to celebrate the opening of a new water trail located on the Chippewa River near Nelson, Wis.
This new trail will help paddlers navigate and explore not only the Chippewa River within the Tiffany Bottoms Wildlife Area, but also the backwaters of the Mississippi River that are part of the Nelson-Trevino Bottoms.
