Girls Day Out organizers are hailing the event as a success.

“Our chilly wet pre-spring weather makes us appreciate the awesome day we had even more,” Jil Garry of Treats and Treasures wrote in an email to the Chamber of Commerce following the event. “We had people from Rochester, Winona, and the metro area. A few women commented that our “invitation” (bag stuffer) brought them back. Others said they learned about it on Facebook or in the Shopper. And of course many know about it because it’s an annual event.”
