Orgs join forces to help kids learn to swim

A new partnership among the City of Lake City, Forward Bank, and The Greater Lake City Community Foundation will provide free swimming lessons for children enrolled in Levels 1–3 classes at the Lake City O’Neal Pool this summer, according to a news release.

“The program is designed to help more children become safe and confident swimmers,” organizers said. “By completing Level 3, children demonstrate the ability to swim the length of the pool and back — an important milestone for water safety in a community centered around Lake Pepin.”
