Original land survey system is topic of Historical Society program

The public is invited to attend the upcoming membership meeting of the Lake City Historical Society on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. in the ballroom at City Hall, 205 West Center Street.

The Original Land Survey System is the topic of a program that will follow a short business meeting.

Historical surveyors David Claypool and Lisa Hanni will speak about the tools and techniques that turned unsurveyed land into real estate for the United States government.
