Park lighting kicks off holiday events season

It’s that time of year again. “All I want for Christmas is You” is climbing the charts. And the Lake City Chamber of Commerce is preparing for a park lighting ceremony in Patton Park on Saturday, Nov. 27.

But before that, on Nov. 26 (AKA “Black Friday”) people can take a break from doorbusting and take advantage of free admission to Minnesota State Parks, including Frontenac State Park. It’s one of four free park days - one per season - each year, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
