Pass It On donation gives fire suppression grenades to city’s emergency responders

On a recent cold and rainy night in Lake City, firefighters of the Lake City Fire Department (LCFD) gathered near a burning shed for a special training.

They were testing a new fire suppression technology donated to them by the Pass It On Thrift Shop in Lake City.

As pastor of the First Congregational Church, UCC in Lake City, which owns and operates the shop, I was on hand to watch the training. It was my idea for the fire suppression grenades to be in the hands of our local firefighters, who invited me to witness the grenades in action.
