Back in January when there was a rare measure of snow on the ground, a dream was waiting for the right time to bloom.

The dream was a vision of a permanent outdoor classroom in front of Lincoln High School, in Lake City.

It was not a classroom in the sense of four walls, but rather a space where students could learn without the restriction of walls.

Because in this case, walls would be counterproductive.
