Pass it On gives surprise donation to food shelf

It was a joyous end-of-shift moment at the Lake City Food Shelf last Thursday, Nov. 20.
Just after closing time, when the volunteer crew had locked the door after completing their usual Thursday business from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., I showed up.
A volunteer unlocked the door and let me in and I explained to the crew that I had a surprise donation from Pass It On to support their ongoing services to the people of Lake City.
