Pasture walk lets farmers compare drought management strategies and experiences

The Land Stewardship Project’s (LSP) drought-oriented pasture walk in rural Lake City was timely, even if it happened to rain on the Oct. 19 event.

The period from January through September was Minnesota’s 16th driest since 1895, according to the federal government’s drought tracking website drought.gov, with 18.62 inches of total precipitation, 3.32 inches less than normal.
