Patterson is Legion’s firefighter of the year
Dan Patterson, the chief of the Lake City Fire Department, is the Lake City American Legion’s firefighter of the year for 2020.
Legion member Dick Grobe presented the award to Patterson at the department’s monthly meeting on Thursday, May 27.
Patterson is the first recipient of what is planned to be an annual honor.
The certificate reads, in part: “This Commendation is Awarded for Outstanding Public Service Benefitting Our Community, State, and Nation.”
