Peace run to pass through the area Sunday
The Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run, an international torch relay, will come through the area Sunday, July 17.
An international team of runners from eight countries are making their way from New York on a 10,000 mile journey meeting with schools and youth along the way, though no stops in Lake City were annouced.
The team will run 96 miles starting in Red Wing Sunday morning. They will follow Highway 61 to Lake City, then Highway 63 to Zumbro Falls and on to Winona from there.
