Penny war raises over $800

Lincoln High School ninth grade students raised a total of $837.75 over the past few weeks during the penny war competition among seven advisory classrooms.

“This total is basically quadruple the amount of any other recent year,” Lincoln High School teacher Ross Fuchs, whose advisory was among the participants, said. “All of the money is going to two anonymous Lake City families in hopes of giving them a better holiday season. They will be receiving gift cards to various places with the money.”
