Following a successful pilot program providing ice skates and safety equipment for users of the Lake City skating rink to borrow, the Peters Memorial Fund hopes to help people enjoy unfrozen water safely as well.
The fund has donated dozens of life jackets—sizes are infant to adult—that will be available to borrow at no charge by people using the beaches at Hok-Si-La and Ohuta Park.
“The Peters Memorial Fund is excited about this donation because it will help people safely enjoy the lake,” Katie Christensen of Peters Memorial Fund said.
