'Picker's paradise' pops up in downtown Lake City

It has often been said that “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”

Jenny’s Treasures, a recently opened store on West Lyon Avenue in Lake City, is doing its part to lend truth to that saying, by giving items that otherwise might have been thrown away another chance at usefulness.

Andrea Dumais was working in the store April 20.

She said Jenny’s Treasures, which is named after her daughter, is an outgrowth of her brother Devin’s business of cleaning out vacant homes and hauling scrap metal, mainly in the Rochester area.
