PMI is city’s ‘manufacturer of the year’

Lake City-based Pepin Manufacturing (PMI) was named the city’s manufacturer of the year at an annual luncheon Oct. 2 to celebrate Minnesota Manufacturing Week.

Jon Solberg, one of two company representatives who accepted the award, said the company is experiencing double-digit growth.

In the last 18 months or so the company has added about 20 positions and now employs 65 people, 60 in Lake City and five in Wabasha.
