Police to teach women’s self defense at library

The Lake City Public Library invites the public to a free self defense for women class on Thursday, Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. led by Lake City Police Chief Cory Kubista and Lake City Police Department Training Officer Jesse Vold.
“This class is designed to give women basic skills for striking and kicking to be used in self defense,” according to a news release. “This class will also address situation awareness needed for ordinary life.”
