Prairie flowers, bees, bluebirds are part of Miller Creek group walk

Wednesday, Aug. 7, the Walking Lake Pepin (WLP) group walk took place along Miller Creek on a path maintained by Paul Myers.
Beyond the birds and the bees, 31 walkers learned about the Miller Creek Aquatic Management Area (AMA) from Brian Beyerl, of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources office in Lake City, who spoke to WLP at Paul and Wanda Myers home.  AMAs provide angler and management access, protect critical shore land habitat and provide areas for education and research.
