Preservation group offers windows workshop in Albert Lea

The Preservation Alliance of Minnesota (PAM) is hosting a workshop on Sept. 26 on Restoring Wooden Windows, to be held at the Freeborn County Historical Museum in Albert Lea from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Taught by historic window specialist Paul Schmidt of Restoration Window Systems, this class will teach participants how repairing original wooden windows can save money, improve window operation, boost energy efficiency, and maintain architectural integrity.  Participants will get a thorough overview on how to repair drafts, deal with glazing and sashes, fix broken glass, and much more.
