Proud alumnus Andru Peters donates $1.2 million for athletic field upgrades

Lake City Public Schools is honored to announce the acceptance of a $1.2 million financial gift from the estate of Andru Peters, a proud Lake City High School alumnus and former football player. The donation will be used to support long-term improvements to the district’s football athletic complex.

Peters, who died on May 14 at age 84, graduated from Lincoln High School. He was inducted into the Lake City Hall of Fame in 2016 as a member of the 1955 unbeaten Lake City football team.
