Quest to clear murder victim’s name to be broadcast Sept. 7

A community’s effort to set the story straight about one of its members killed by the Jesse James gang will be featured Monday, Sept. 7, at 10 p.m. on KSTP-TV, Channel 5.

Lake City resident Wayne Quist said he spent hours with KSTP reporter Joe Mazan and a videographer at Millersburg Schoolhouse Museum and Christdala Swedish Church talking about a Millersberg Swede named Nicolaus Gustafson who was gunned down by the Jesse James gang on Sept. 7, 1876, in Northfield.
