Quilters link hobby with heritage

On Wednesday, Jan. 18 from noon to 1 p.m., the Goodhue County Historical Society presents “How My (Swedish) Heritage has Influenced my Quilting Folk Art.”

Featuring two local quilting experts, this program explores the role that their Scandinavian ancestry plays in their textile creations, while teaching attendees about quilting, art, and family history. All who attend are encouraged to bring a sample of their Swedish or Norwegian quilts or fancy work. History Break is free and open to the public.
