Record turn-out for community clean-up despite cold weather

Volunteers turned out in 40-degree, damp weather Saturday to help make Lake City a nicer place to be when temps double.

“Although Lake City does a nice job of maintaining our parks and the marina, a little extra help in the spring is always welcome to get ourselves ready for all the summer fun,” said John Hutchinson of Destination Lake City, one of the sponsors of the clean-up event, along with the Lake City Sportsman’s Club and the Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance.
