Refuge ramps closed for replacement
The Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge, Winona District will be closing the Weaver Landing on Hwy. 61 at Weaver, Minn., and Indian Slough Landing on Hwy. 25 between Wabasha and Nelson, Wis., on an intermittent basis for approximately one month from July 15.
The landings will be closed while Solutions 101, LLC of Hortonville, Wis., removes the current 30-year-old concrete slab boat launches and replaces them with solid concrete ramps. No walk-in access will be allowed during the closure.
