Relay for Life raises money while honoring people with cancer

The 2016 Relay For Life will be held on Friday, Aug. 5, at Patton Park in Lake City.  The opening ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. and this year the event will wrap up at 1 a.m.

Members of the Relay For Life of Wabasha County are once again selling lumanarias and bloomanarias to honor and remember those with cancer.

The lumanarias surround Patton Park the night of the Relay and are lit once the sun goes down during the Lumanria ceremony. Each bag can be decorated by the person purchasing it or it can be decorated by the committee members.
