Lake City pickleball players celebrated the completion of two new pickleball courts at Underwood Park with a ribbon cutting ceremony recently.

Fundraising committee members Mark Nichols, Brad and Wanda Pederson, and Kris Klassen were in attendance.

“The two new courts bring us to a total of four courts and will allow us to hold tournaments,” Brad said.

A tournament is being planned for next year.

“It’s great to see the increase in families playing,” Wanda said. “We have also seen an increase in high school players.”
