Riester retires after more than 40 years at St. Elizabeth’s
After more than 40 years at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, family nurse practitioner Sharon Riester is retiring.
Throughout her career she was committed to advancing her education and profession. After obtaining her bachelor’s in nursing and serving in several leadership capacities, she saw an opportunity to expand her scope of care by earning her midwifery degree and the distinction of Mayo Clinic’s first nurse midwife. Not long after, she capped off her training with a family nurse practitioner certification.
