River canoeing and beach clean-up event planned for May 22

Wabasha County 4-H and Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance are planning a river canoeing and beach clean-up on Sunday, May 22 from noon to 4 p.m.

Community members are invited to join a canoe journey guided by Wilderness Inquiry, an outdoor education non-profit.

“We have 40 spots available in large canoes that will be guided by experts. These canoes are fully accessible to people with any kind of disability! We will launch at Chippewa Boat Landing and end at Wabasha Beach Park,” Wabasha County 4-H said in a news release.
