Robertson presentation to cover river, steamboats, and banjo history
The Lake City Public Library invites the public to a presentation led by local musician and historian Dr. Dennis Robertson. This event takes place on Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 6:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Robertson will review some of the history of the Mississippi River, steamboats, and the banjo. He’ll also discuss the relationship of the Mayo Founders with steamboats and the Mississippi River as well as some of the music associated with the river.
