Rotary club presents $4,800 in donations to local efforts
On Aug. 12, your Lake City Rotary awarded amazing ladies $1,600 for their organizations.
Recipients were teacher Angie Haviland for the Tiger Terrace outdoor classroom project at Lincoln High School, Becky Laqua for the Lake City Music Boosters, and Katie Christensen and Katie Rawlings for the Peters Memorial Fund.
These are the kind of people who come to speak at our Rotary meetings and they are wonderful. Our speakers inform us about what’s happening in our city. Rotary has had so many interesting and enlightening speakers.
