Round-up raises over $1,000 for accessible swings
Fiesta Foods shoppers contributed $1,005 to a fundraiser for handicap-accessible swings for public playgrounds in Lake City by rounding up their grocery bills in October.
Campaign organizer Sharon Eggenberger said the campaign has nearly reached its $5,000 goal, but there’s still time to donate.
“We are almost there,” she said. “If anyone wants to donate, they can write the check to the VFW, who are funding us using their non-profit organization.”
