Rybarczyk appointed to state EMS board

Lake City Ambulance Director Sara Rybarczyk has been appointed to the state Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board, the governor’s office announced last month.

Rybarczyk, who replaces Tim Malchow on the board, began her term Sept. 21. It expires Jan. 5, 2026.

The board is “responsible for certifying EMS personnel, licensing and inspecting ambulance services, registering medical response units, and approving and auditing education programs” among other duties, according to a news release.
