Sail for Leukemia event is July 27-28
Online registration is open for the Lake City Yacht Club’s annual Sail for Leukemia fundraiser.
For a donation suggested at $25 per adult and $20 for ages 12 and under, people can book a 90 minute sailing excursion on Lake Pepin on July 27 or 28.
Funds raised go toward efforts battle leukemia, a blood cancer that about 500,000 were living with in the United States as of 2021, according to cancer.gov. It is the most common cancer among children, though it occurs more often in older adults.
