Sail for Leukemia returns for 23rd year

The Lake City Yacht Club will host the 23rd annual Sail for Leukemia July 27 and 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Proceeds of the fundraiser will benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), Minnesota Chapter.
In 1997 the club was looking for a way to give something back to the community of Lake City. The club also wanted to support one of its members who died of leukemia that year. This fundraiser was seen as a way to do both.
