On June 30 Brodin Studios of Kimball, Minn., installed plaques at Ohuta Park which describe the event (beginning of waterskiing) of July 2, 1922 and recognize the donors who made the statue and the plaques possible.
According to John Hutchinson, Destination Lake City’s (DLC) president, “It’s been a long process, but it’s finally completed and we’re delighted with the overall result. It really adds a wonderful dimension to Ohuta Park and pays tribute to Ralph Samuelson who invented waterskiing.”
