Sand sculpture contest yields magnificent entries
On Saturday, July 11, six families joined in the fun at Hok-Si-La Park beach creating sand sculptures.
Each family was given a ten foot square area on the beach to make their creations. It was so great to see families with kids of all ages working together on their sculptures and enjoying dips in the water.
The sculptures were all magnificent. A judge gave three creations special recognition. Those three sculptures were awarded gift coupons to the Lake City Area Arts activities or the Lake City Friends of the Library book sales.
