Santa joins public safety service vehicles for a parade around town

Perched on the back of the Lake City Fire Department ladder truck, Santa Claus braved the winter bluster the evening of Dec. 23 to spread Christmas cheer on a parade through the streets of Lake City.

Joining the parade was a Lake City Ambulance Service rig playing holiday music and a Lake City Police Department vehicle.

Lake City Firefighter Justin Novak said the parade lasted about an hour and a half. Turnout was good along the route, he said, despite the short notice.
