Saturday open house gives public a look marina operations, history, and economic impact
On Saturday, Aug. 17, beginning at 1 p.m., the Lake City Marina is inviting everyone to an open house featuring entertainment, tours, and an opportunity to see how the city-owned marina operates and its impact on city finances and services.
Marina Administrator Jeff Brand said the city’s marina board came up with the idea for the event.
They found support from Brand and the Lake City City Council, which in January approved expenditures from marina budget reserves to pay for the event.
